一四六零年代，特兰西瓦尼亚君主弗拉德．德古力抗土耳其，用了原始的细菌战。他募集国内所有致命传染病患者，例如痳疯、肺结核、梅毒病人，给他们穿上土耳其服装，送他们进土耳其阵营。假如他们能把恶疾传染土耳其人，令土耳其人病死，那么，只须携死者头巾回到弗拉德阵营，即可获重赏。
